Lupe Fiasco - Kick Push

我最近有點羞愧，ＣＬ已經神速翻了第二首了...這是搶先看，歌曲介紹晚點才會補上！

Kick Push

lupe在芝加哥出生，爸爸是Black Panther黨的黨員，Black Panther是一個在美國1960~70年代為了黑人公民權投身在黑人解放運動的激進派組織。而lupe本名Wasalu Muhammad Jaco，Muhammad這個名字也說明了lupe的穆斯林信仰。

lupe曾在受訪問時，說父親對他的人生影響很大，讓他能夠見識這世界，因為父親給他聽NWA還有 Ravi Shankar甚至還教他怎麼使用AK47，帶他去學空手道，然後帶他去唐人街等等。

lupe在青少年時期，其實不喜歡hiphop，覺得那是不入流的東西，反而是去玩爵士，練習單簧管。引上lupe走向饒舌之路的是因為聽了Nas的那張It was Written，爾後自己也跟別人合作mixtape，開始有些表演機會，但那時候電子調的音樂還沒被廣為接受，所以不太紅，那時lupe以little lu或lu the underdog為名表演。以Lupe  Fiasco是以後的事情，Fiasco的由來是Nas、Foxy Brown、AZ三人的hip hop團體之中的一首歌曲
而來。

lupe的音樂風格屬於Conscious Rap，這與Political Hip Hop有些微的差別，比起Political Hip Hop以政治訴求為中心概念，Conscious Rap不只政治，也講宗教、經濟思想、社會議題方面各種自己的看法，例如Common、Mos Def、  Talib Kweli等人。

關於本次的kick push，由於內容理解各人不同的關係，一直有謠言說這首歌是在講關於販毒的事情，但lupe有出來澄清流言，說這首歌是他覺得hip hop文化跟滑板淵源很深，也覺得玩滑板很帥，雖然自己玩滑板沒有很強，但是希望把這兩個元素結合在一起，做一首很帥的歌，其中只是帶有一些反抗社會的氣息(如在歌詞內容中暗示社會大眾不喜歡毒品、暴力在自己的社區，滑板能讓青少年遠離這些狗屁倒灶的事情，社會卻也要排斥它，非常弔詭)，
至於大家要怎麼看那是聽眾的事情。

*2 grinding可以指1’滑板上卡竿跟卡板類的招式 2’努力為了得到某事 3’捲大麻煙，Lupe使用這個詞可以獲得三種解釋方式，讓這種歌聽起像是在講滑板或是販毒，還有人覺得是在講打籃球…….

*3 像Lords of Dogtown一樣，西風的選手總是能把到在台下拍手的迷妹，滑得好的人似乎就能吸引妹子，似乎是世界通用的真理。

*4aerials跟varials都是滑板招式的分類，前者是在空中的招式，後者是接近地面的倒板

*5 暗示自己無法撐起兩個人的生活

*6 暗示女方自己不會成為負擔

*7 暗示一個弔詭的情形，社會上希望掃黑掃毒，玩滑板有團員有贊助的小孩子

已經遠離毒品跟犯罪，社會上卻還是拒絕他們，不讓他們繼續這個可以幫助他們脫離光怪陸離的街頭生活的嗜好。

*8 不只說玩滑板被趕走要逃離的情況，也說滑板可以幫這些孩子遠離那些光怪陸離的事情。
